Manoj Sinha (born July 1, 1959 in Bhumihar Brahmin Family in Mohanpura, Ghazipur District, India) is the current minister of state for railways and the member of Lok Sabha, the lower house in the Indian Parliament representing ghazipur lok sabha constituency. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.He has an M. Tech. in civil engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. From 1989-1996, he was a member of the national council. In 1996, 1999 and in 2014 he is elected to Lok Sabha. He was among the most best performing member of parliament of 13th lok sabha with a very high attendance and asked many questions on various topics related to public welfare. He was among the seven most honest members of parliament according to india today, he used all the money alloted to a parliament member for public welfare, which is rare. For all of his qualities and a spotless character he became an obvious choice in Narendra Modis ministers. He is currently holding Minister of State (railways)in Narendra Modis govrnment.He was the President of the Banaras Hindu University Students Union in 1982.
