Shri Gowdara Mallikarjunappa Siddeshwara(born 1952), well known by name Shri G.M. Siddeshwara is a sitting member of the current 16th Lok Sabha, elected from the Davangere constituency of Karnataka for the third term successively since 2004. Shri G M Siddeshwara is the current Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and has taken charge on 31 May 2014. He was also a member of the 14th Lok Sabha and 15th Lok Sabha of India representing the BJP from the Davangere Lok Sabha constituency.Shri G. M. Siddeshwara is one of the top unquestionable Lingayat leaders in Karnataka and a mass based leader in Central Karnataka. Shri G. M. Siddeshwara has been rated as one of the best MPs in the 15th Lok Sabha by various independent organizations based on his performance both in the Parliament as well as his efficiency in the constituency. He has been rated as the second best MP from Karnataka by the Rezorce Parliamentary Productivity Framework (www.rezorce.com) rating based on various parameters like his excellent utilization of MPLAD funds for the constituency, parliamentary performance including attendance, number of questions asked, participation in debates, etc.
