Princess Dianas Dress

Princess Diana wore a legendary wedding dress for her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles. Designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, within hours of the wedding, tons of other designers were ordered to copy the dress so every bride in England and throughout the world could feel like Diana on their big day too. The dress was made of silk taffeta and antique lace embellished with over 1,000 pearls and sequins. The train was a stunning 25 feet long. Also stunning, but not exactly in a good way, were the puffy sleeves and shoulder pads (hey, it was the 80 s). The dress is estimated to have cost what would come out to approximately $150,000 today.
