Understanding the Risks Involved

While music plays a great role in our daily lives, listening to loud music can put undue pressure on your ears and damage your hearing. In fact, about 90% of people experience ringing in their ears after listening to loud music or after using their headphones for long periods of time. While this sensation usually lasts for 24 hours at the most, constant exposure to loud music can increase your risk of tinnitus a physical condition characterized by ringing in the ears even when no such noise is present and or premature hearing loss.
