History
The scene of Brian Laras world record first class score of 501 not out, Edgbaston also hosted Englands epic clash with Australia in the 2005 Ashes, widely considered to be one of the greatest Test matches ever.
Aesthetics
Positive redevelopments have managed to keep the classic English ground ambience with a contemporary twist. The Capacity increase makes it the second biggest cricket ground in the UK.
