Described by Alec Stewart as up there with Eden Gardens, Englands visits, particularly the Test matches, are well supported. A large local Asian community also turn out in their droves for the visits of India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
History
The scene of Brian Laras world record first class score of 501 not out, Edgbaston also hosted Englands epic clash with Australia in the 2005 Ashes, widely considered to be one of the greatest Test matches ever.
