Built over the Arno River in Florence Ponte Vecchio is aMedievalstone closed spandrel segmentalarch bridgenoted for still having shops built along it as it was once common. With a length of 30 meters (100 feet) it is the only bridge of its kind in Florence to survive the World War II bombing.
