Audi RS7

February 5, 2014: Audi launched the ready to buy version of the RS7 at the Auto Expo, Delhi. The RS7 shares the platform with the Audi A3. Priced at 1.29 crores, the vehicle boasts to be a performance maniac like the Audi A7 luxury car. The RS7 features a 4.0 litre TFSI twin turbo V8 powertrain. The pickup of the vehicle is a mere 3.9 seconds to reach 100 kmph. Main competitors include BMW M5, Merccedes Benz E63 AMG.

Audi India has an array of stylish vehicles in its fleet including the RS7 Sportback. This model is a sporty version of its sibling A7, but it is equipped with a powerful 4.0 litre TFSI petrol engine. This mill can produce a commanding power of 552.5bhp along with a torque output of 700Nm. This engine is incorporated with an advanced Audi cylinder on demand technology, which helps to reduce the carbon emission while improving its fuel efficiency. It is arguably one of the most stylish vehicle in its segment, thanks to its sportback body structure and signature LED lighting setup all over. It has an aggressive front facade featuring hexagonal radiator grille with honeycomb mesh and dark tinted headlight cluster, which makes it look extremely stylish. The automaker has also integrated night vision assistant function featuring a thermal imaging camera, which highlights the detected pedestrians on infotainment screen to improve safety. Furthermore, this Audi RS7 Sportback is also bestowed with a Head up display that projects the required information from the driver assistance system and enhances the convenience. The automaker is offering Bose Surround sound system as a standard fitment, while providing Bang and Olufsen audio system as optional. In addition to these, it also has preparation for rear seat entertainment with pre installed mounts and wiring for integration of a touchscreen display along with a DVD player. As far as its safety aspects are concerned, this vehicle is incorporated with aspects like electronic regulation of top speed, brake energy recuperation and an advanced ABS with anti slip regulation. It has lightweight aluminum material based on a hybrid construction method. It is available with an impressive 12 year guarantee against rust perforation. On the other hand, it is also available with a standard warranty for a period of 2 years, without any limitation to its mileage. At present, it is competing with the likes of Mercedes Benz CLS Class and BMW M6 Gran Coupe in the Indian automobile market.
