THE GREAT MOSQUE OF XI AN CHINA

Founded in 742 it is the oldest and possibly best known mosque in all of China. Unlike most of the mosques listed here, apart from that one in Australia, the Great Mosque is unique in that it is completely Chinese in its architecture and design. Although a popular tourist stop, it is still actively used as a place of worship by Chinese Muslims
