My absolute favorite temple in the world is Ta Prohm inside of the ancient city of Angkor in Cambodia.One thing not everyone knows is that Angkor is the name is an ancient city, not to be confused with its main temple, Angkor Wat.The city has five main temples and once had around 1 million inhabitants, making it the largest city of its time in the early 1200s.Ta Prohm was created over eight hundred years ago, so it actually pre dates most of the trees that exist today.That has caused them to grow through the bricks producing one of the most spectacular views in the world today.The movie Tomb Raider was filmed here because of its true ancient ruins look.
