Scoring
Skaters may shoot from any point into the opposition goal but only direct shots placed from within the green area see pitch dimensions above will count as goals. The one exception is this rule is for shots that originate or are deflected from the defending team. Own goals may be scored from any point on the pitch. A goal is scored when the whole of the ball crosses the goal line between the goal posts and under the crossbar, provided it has not been thrown, carried or propelled by hand or arm by a skater of the attacking side.
