US$276,000 British inventor Alfred Angas Scott did more for the two stroke motorcycle than any other single individual. His water cooled, two stroke twin cylinder bikes were the first two strokes to be competitive in motorcycle racing, gained the outright Isle of Man lap record in 1911, and in the years leading up to WWI were the fastest on the racetrack.
