That is right, before making big in movies, Depp worked as a pen salesman over phone to support his livelihood with his then wife Lori Anne Allison. It was because of Cages suggestion Depp tried his hand at acting. Johnny Depp confessed that, he had to put on his best fake voice over the phone to sell pens. He said that he had to convince people who were not interested to talk to buy pens that would have their names printed on them.
