Shawn Carter aka Jay Z was a drug dealer in his early teens. Jay Z reportedly admits that he was into drug dealing for not making ends meet but for improving situation. In his interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2009, he mentioned about the drug dealers in Brooklyn, calling them his role models while he was growing up. Jay Z reportedly told Vanity Fair correspondent Lisa Robinson that selling cocaine gave him business skills that helped him succeed in life. He also admits of regretting to be a drug dealer, as it was only about money until he realized the effects on the community.
