Deepika Padukone

Priyanka was born on July 18, 1982, in the Chopra family. She grew up in many different cities in India, as well as spending a few years in the United States. Before starting her acting career, she gained fame after winning the Miss India and Miss World titles in 2000. During her career, Chopra has received one National Film Award and four Filmfare Awards.Chopra made her Bollywood debut with The Hero in 2003. She followed that with the hit Andaaz, for which she won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She subsequently earned critical acclaim for her performance in Aitraaz (2004), and appeared in the commercially successful projects Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Krrish (2006) and Don (2006). The year 2008 marked the beginning of a new phase in Chopras career, as her portrayal of a troubled model in the film Fashion earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She also done notable performances in Kaminey (2009), Whats Your Raashee? (2009), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), which garnered her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress, and for Barfi! (2012). Having done so, Chopra established herself as one of the leading contemporary actresses in Bollywood.

She appears mostly in Hindi films, as well as Tamil and Kannada language films.In 2006, Padukone made her acting in Hindi film in Om Shanti Om, for which she earned the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. It remains her biggest commercial success. She subsequently appeared in Love Aaj Kal (2009) and Housefull (2010). While the former earned her a Filmfare nomination in the Best Actress category. Soon after, Padukone featured in commercially successful dramedy, Cocktail (2012) and earned unanimous critical appreciation for her performance. In addition to acting, Padukone is also the ambassador of prominent brands such as Tissot, Sony Cybershot, Yamaha, Nescafe and Kingfisher Airlines.In March 2008, Padukone began dating Ranbir Kapoor, After her high profile break up with Kapoor in November 2009, Padukone has decided to keep her personal life away from media attention. But after two years, In 2010 she started dating Kingfisher head honcho Vijay Mallyas son Siddharth Mallya. They broke up in 2012.
