Aishwarya Rai

Born into a traditional south Indian family, Aishwarya started modeling at a young age. She worked as a model before starting her acting career, and ultimately won the Miss India and Miss World pageant titles in 1994. Rai has starred in films in various languages including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.Her beauty and charm made her Indias darling. Often cited by the media as themost beautiful woman in the world, Rai made her acting debut with Mani Ratnams Tamil film Iruvar (1997) and had her first commercial success with Jeans (1998). She earned public recognition with the Hindi films Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) and Devdas (2002), which fetched her two Best Actress awards at Filmfare. In 1999, Rai began dating Bollywood actor Salman Khan; their relationship was often reported in the media until the couple separated in 2001. Rai is married to actor Abhishek Bachchan, they met in 1997. Rai gave birth to a baby girl on 16 November 2011.
