November 3, 2014: Mercedes Benz is all set to launch the new 2015 C Class in India on 25th November, 2014. The next gen sedan has been on sale in the global market (Europe and States) from couple of months and it is now coming to India. The 2015 C Class will replace the on going model and will rival with the Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series. Initially, Mercedes will only launch the new C with petrol engine while diesel will be introduced later. Talking about the design, the 2015 C Class looks like a baby S Class, as it certainly have borrowed designing cues with the same.

Mercedes Benz C Class is highly acclaimed sedan model produced by the German automaker. It was first introduced in the year 1993 and later received modifications periodically. This sedan is currently in its third generation with model series badged as W203. It is offered two petrol and three diesel variants for the buyers to choose from. All the petrol variants are equipped with an in line 1.8 litre engine that has the ability to produce 185bhp along with a maximum torque output of 285Nm. On the other hand, its diesel variants are fitted with a 2.2 litre engine, which is mated with a 7G Tronic seven speed automatic transmission gearbox. Among all the variants, Edition C is the top end trim, which is bestowed with a few captivating exterior features. It gets features like electric sun roof, a set of alloy wheels and AMG body styling, which emphasizes its exclusiveness. Its interiors too have been bestowed with exclusive styling features likes premium black leather upholstery with contrast stitching, sport seats and interior light package with ambient lighting. On the other hand, its Grand Edition and Avantgarde trims have similar set of aspects including bi xenon headlamps, panoramic glass roof with one touch operation and 17 inch stylish alloy wheels. All the variants in this series have been equipped with an ECO Start/stop function, which helps to improve the performance and fuel efficiency.

It is also integrated with an Audio 20 CD featuring 6 disc changer and a 14.7cm TFT color display, which also provides visual parking aid. It is also incorporated with AGILITY CONTROL suspension with selective damping. Its cabin is fitted with a proficient THERMATIC automatic climate control system including separate air vents for rear passengers. It also has an advanced cruise control system featuring SPEEDTRONIC variable speed limiter. This sedan is also integrated with an innovative ATTENTION ASSIST system, which warns the driver in case it detects any sign of increasing weariness and failing attention. There is a PRE SAFE anticipatory occupant protection system, which detects a potential collision and deploys brakes, tightens the seatbelts and closes the side windows along with glass roof. At present, it is being offered with an unmatched warranty period of 3 years without any constraint to its mileage. This luxury sedan is competing with the likes of BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, and Volvo S 40 in the Indian automobile market.
