Lupita Nyong o

Lupita Amondi Nyong o born on 1 March 1983 is a film director, music video director, and actress. She went to an all girls school within Kenya and participated in several school plays. Nyong o graduated from Hampshire College in United States in film and theatre studies. She worked as a production staff for films like The Constant Gardener, The Namesake, and Where God Left His Shoes. Her debut film was 12 Years a Slave, for which she garnered critical acclaim. She won the Critics Choice Award and Screen Actors Guild for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role. She was also nominated for BAFTA, Academy Award, and Golden Globe for the Best Supporting Actress.
