The name Celosia derives from a Greek word Kelos which means burned because this flower looks as if its head is on flame. It is a tropical plant with beautiful blooming flowers that are mainly used for decoration in the garden and weddings. Celosia flower conveys really strong emotion and signifies silliness, humor and warmth. This flower is also used for medicinal purposes and is used to treat chest problems and diarrhea.
