He has also won "Best Goalkeepr in Serie A on multiple occasions. A true Juventus player he stayed with them even after the match fixing allegations as the team was downgraded to Italian Serie B. He was once the costliest goalkeeper in the history of the beautiful game. Gigi Buffon now captains his country as well his club.
