Rene Lacoste

A former world number one tennis player, Rene Lacoste won 10 major titles over the course of his sevenyear career. In later years, he started a line of sportswear that bore his name and whose iconic crocodile symbol became a sign of status. He died in St. JeanLuz, France, on October 12, 1996.
