Playing it with Textures

When you carry out art works on your nails, you need not just play around with colors and patterns to bring out the beauty of perfectly shaped nails. You can even dabble with the textures of the nail paint to enhance their loveliness. This picture here is one such example. The color of the nails in this case is a deep maroon. But what adds variation is the way one half is left shiny, while the other half has had its sheen taken out. This has been done using a tracing paper which when applied to the nails on the desired place and pulled away takes away the shimmer. The shine and nonshine combination makes even this monochrome look attractive.
