Precautions while using UPS
like that When the battery is dead, replace it immediately or stop using ups.
11. Normal power loss
The battery maintains the DC supply to the inverter upon normal power loss. The DC power supply to the inverter can be maintained by the battery until the power restoration of AC supply or end of the battery life cycle. Only under this condition, the inverter continues to supply the connected loads without any disruption. This sequence of operation will carry on until the system is shutdown only if the battery reaches the discharged state before the output of the charger is restored. A system shutdown may be initiated manually or without human intervention by a dc under voltage sensing device.
12. Power restoration
The first thing is that the battery will discharge subsequent to power restoration of the AC supply and the rectifier output voltage is placed at the equal or balanced voltage in order to boost the battery. This mechanism can be performed either manually or without human intervention. The battery charger returns to the floating method at the end of the battery recharging period and the system returns to normal procedure.
13. Bypass mode
The static UPS systems may have three bypass switching preparations the UPS static switches (SS), the UPS static switch circuit breaker (SS CB), and the maintenance circuit breaker.
14. Charge the battery immediately after purchase
If you do not use the unit for a long time after purchase, the battery performance may deteriorate and it may become unusable. The battery can be charged by connecting the AC input plug of the UPS to commercial power.
15. Unpacking the product
Make sure that all accessories are included and that there is no external damage. If you notice any defects, immediately contact the shop of purchase.
16. Connecting the additional battery unit
When the unit is used in compliance with UL standards or CE marking,Connecting an additional battery unit should be performed or supervised by personnel familiar with the danger of batteries and the required precautions.
17. Replacing the battery
The battery can be replaced while the UPS is stopped. (power supply output stopped)
18. Short circuiting
Never attempt to short circuit a battery. Doing so can damage the product and generate heat that can cause burns.
19. Throwing batteries into a fire or water
Disposing of a battery in fire can cause the battery to rupture. Also avoid placing batteries in water, as this may cause the battery to fail.
20. Soldering
Never solder anything directly to a battery. This can destroy the safety features of the battery by damaging the safety vent inside the cap. Permanent connections to an energy cell may be made by spot welding solder tags to the terminals. A soldered connection can subsequently be made to the tag.
