Xmas For Kids
Christmas for kids is one of the most special times of the year, and we know it.
21. Snowman Cupcakes
Happy times with kids call for cheerful cupcakes. Easier to serve than cake, cupcakes require no slicing, no plates, and no forks and every child gets her fair share of icing.
This design starts as a Chocolate Cupcake or Vanilla Cupcake iced with Swiss Meringue Buttercream perfect for spreading in thin layers or sculpting into thick mounds (and licking from the bowl). The cupcakes can be baked a week ahead and frozen, but decorate them no more than a day before serving. Set up an assembly line, and put kids in charge of affixing candy eyes, gumdrop cheeks, and other trimmings. Pack the cupcakes in a shallow plastic container, and stuff crumpled waxed paper in between. Then dole them out and watch kids marvel for a second before opening wide.
22. Snowflake Quesadillas
With these snowflakes, only the cheese melts. Fold a flour tortilla in half, then in thirds. Snip out shapes, unfold, and use as the top of a quesadilla.
23. Holiday Gumdrop Pops
Stack gumdrops, dot them with sprinkles and other candies in creative ways, and watch the colorful confections come to life as snowmen, Santas, and other icons of the season. Wrap the candy pops in cellophane bags, and then attach them to gifts or slip them into stockings. Or create a holiday display Partially fill a large glass jar with sanding sugar, and stand the figurines on flower frogs in the sparkling snow.Slide gumdrops onto candy sticks to create body of each pop. (Use leaf shaped gumdrops for holly pop.)

25. Christmas Colouring Cards
If a child makes the effort to colour a Christmas card by hand, the result will always be treasured! Here is a collection of printable Christmas cards to colour, perfect for that special someone in your childs life. These cards print onto one A4 or letter sized sheet of paper or card and fold once. If you can, set your printer to print right to the edge of the paper (borderless printing).
26. Shopping Date
To encourage children to give, make a one on one shopping date with each child. Together with a parent, help the child shop for gifts for other family members. Be sure to stop for a sweet treat. Make memories.
27. Lights Night
Put younger children to bed as usual, but wake them an hour later. Tumble the family into the car pajamas and all, and drive out to see the Christmas lights. Pack hot drinks and popcorn for a surprise treat.
28. Christmas Camp Out
One evening, roll out sleeping bags in the living room, and hold a family camp out underneath the Christmas tree. Dont forget the hot chocolate and carols around the fireplace.
29. Candle Lit Dinner
Make an everyday dinner special by dining by candlelight. Share stories around the table as you enjoy the glow.
30. Cracker Crafts
Save enough toilet tissue tubes to supply the family. Create Christmas crackers by stuffing tubes with tiny candies, toys and treats. Wrap crackers, and use them as place cards for holiday dinners.
