21. AJANTA CAVES MAHARASHTRA
These caves include paintings and sculptures described by the Archaeological Survey of India as the finest surviving examples of Indian art, which are masterpieces of Buddhist religious art.
22. ELLORA CAVES MAHARASHTRA
Ellora is an archaeological site, 29km from Aurangabad in Maharashtra. Its monumental caves 34 of them, in fact were carved as Buddhist, Hindu and Jain temples between the 5th and 10th centuries.
23. BASILICA OF BOM JESUS GOA
The Basilica of Bom Jesus holds the mortal remains of St Francis Xavier, and is located in Old Goa. The basilica is considered to be one of the best examples of baroque architecture in India.
