Wardrobe Management

Does your heart sink when you open your wardrobe.
21. Spend time coming up with new looks
We know you might hate to hear it, but it true looking fashionable is not always effortless. If you want to take full advantage of what you have, you need to spend some time planning outfits. Whenever you get new clothes, shoes, or accessories, try them on with different stuff you already own! Once you know what goes with what, getting dressed will be a snap.
22. Get a second opinion
Go through your closet with your most fashionable and honest friend. Try things on and get her opinion. Your friend might also help you come up with new outfit combinations that you would have never thought of on your own.
23. Take photos of the looks that work
If you really need help with your style, you could create your own look book of outfits. After you spend time going through your clothes and creating outfits that work, lay all the pieces down on the floor with matching shoes, handbag and other accessories, and snap a photo. Polaroids are the quickest, but regular or digital photos are fine too.
24. Invest in good fabrics they last longer
Invest in good fabrics, they last longer and are easier to maintain. Buy less clothes but the best quality you can afford. invest in fabrics like silks, light wool, cottons, knits and crepes. Mixes with Tencel, Modal and Lycra improve the fit and texture of the cloth. Steer clear of artificial fabrics like shiny rayon, polyester and nylon. Avoid linen for long working hours and public transport.
25. Pay a lot of attention to your lingerie
Always pay a lot of attention to your lingerie. They are the building blocks of your wardrobe and can make or break your outfit and your image. Correctly fitting lingerie can visibly reduce around 2 3 kgs and give you a great figure. Your lingerie should never ever be visible through your clothes. No VPL and no colourful/ dirty/ faded bra straps. Indian women often ignore their lingerie drawer without realizing it impact on their entire look.
26. Buying Clothes with a Wardrobe Mentality
As obvious as this sounds, this logic never seems to APPLYto shopping for clothing. Few women shop with any type of a plan with their needs clearly in mind. This is why when you look into the closets of most women you see things like too many pairs of black pants, shoes that never get worn, tags still on clothing and not enough of what they actually need. There is no plan.Women get themselves into the conundrum for a variety of reasons. The first reason is when a woman shops as a form of therapy or because she is impulsive. Unlike shopping for kitchen appliances, clothing for many women, is not about filling needs as much as it is a stress reliever. The second reason this happens is when a woman does not know what to do, how to shop, what her needs really are or because she is unsure about how to dress herself. As a result, the closet becomes a bunch of mistakes, safe purchases and just random buys. The intention is there but the execution is not.
27. Fabrics and Care
Your clothing should be made of materials that are durable and easy to care for. The best fabrics are those that can be washed by machine or by hand and that do not wrinkle or fade easily. For suits and jackets, a durable weave of cotton, wool, or polyester blends will wear well. Do not wear denim, corduroy, leather, or fabrics that wrinkle easily or cannot be pressed.
28. Shoes
Shoes and boots should be practical, comfortable, attractive, and appropriate for the climate and condition of your mission. For safety purposes, wear closed toe and closed heel shoes. Flat soled shoes or shoes with low heels are preferred, unless otherwise authorized by your mission president. You may use shoe inserts to increase comfort and support. Wear a dressy pair of shoes for Sunday meetings.
29. Accessories
For safety and security reasons, handbags, jewelry, and other accessories should be simple and conservative. You are encouraged to choose shoulder bags and purses that are both professional and durable backpacks are not professional.Earrings should not hang longer than approximately one inch below the earlobe. Do not wear more than one earring in each ear. Necklaces and rings should also be simple and conservative. Tattoos, nose rings, other body piercings, or toe rings are not acceptable.Belts may be worn with outfits for function or style. Choose belts that are simple and conservative in color and design.
