Jeep has been a key flagship for Chrysler, so there was much anticipation for the fresher model. In unveiling it, Mike Manley, president and CEO of the Jeep Brand, highlighted shorter headlamps and an elevated fascia that allows the fog lights to be more pronounced, as well as a larger spoiler.

The giant spindle grille, which indents inward in a V shape, makes this look like a muscle car on steroids instead of a classy luxury vehicle. Looking at the car head on, the headlights, grille and lower body form what looks like an angry face. The luxury market is now full of sleek, elegant offerings. This latest Lexus model doesnt quite compare.

Theres little to make this model stand out among the many other crossovers in a crowded market. Except for some minor changes, like more glass and a larger area for storage, it looks similar to the previous version.

A basic, boring design. Thats the more accurate depiction of this car, which is intended to be a sportier version of its Passat sedan. Alas, sporty is the last word that describes this vehicle, which has a boxy vanilla design and no exciting shapes or dimensions in the exterior.
