Old Man of Hoy Scotland
Perhaps Orkneys most famous landmark, the Old Man of Hoy is a 450ft sea stack on the island of Hoy. It was formed from Old Red Sandstone and was first climbed in 1966, according to Visit Scotland. Created by the erosion of a cliff sometime after 1750, it is said to resemble a human figure.
