The City was a pop culture phenomenon TV show that HBO produced. It made a global celebrity out of Sarah Jessica Parker and cemented her reputation as a fashion icon reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn. Fans of the series undoubtedly will recognize Carrie Bradshaws apartment in New York City. The actual apartment of our favorite heroine is located in Perry Street. The era of the Hollywood musical was long gone by the time Sound of Music came along in 1965. Armed with a powerful cast in Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, director Robert Wise was able to take the Broadway musical to the screen with tremendous success and made global superstars from its main cast. It is actually a location in Atlanta, Georgia called the Marriott Marquis. This is a testament to the vision of the director that brought us The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic.

Of all the iconic characters in Hollywood, Indiana Jones ranks high up with Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and ET. George Lucas American adventurer was actually inspired by Saturday movie serials of swashbuckling heroes. If you are a fan of Indiana Jones then you will definitely recognize the enigmatic resting place of the Holy Grail featured in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. This is an actual world heritage site located in Al Khazneh Jordan. The structure looks like it has been standing for thousands of years and it is built into the rock. If ever you are going hunting for the Holy Grail then this is the place where youll likely find it.

Author JK Rowlings story of wizards and monsters have thrilled millions of readers the world over. The Harry Potter series of books and films is touted as the most successful franchise in movie history. Fans of the book and the films will undoubtedly recognize Hogwarts School which is actually Christ Church College in Oxford. If there is going to be some sort of real school for wizards then this would be it. If you are in the UK, you can include a visit to Oxford and get a glimpse of where Harry Potter walked with Hermione and the rest of his friends.

Hey girl. We all dream about finding a love as romantic as that of Noah (Ryan Gosling) and Allie (Rachel McAdams) in this movie, but lets be honest Its probably not gonna happen. The next best thing? You can at least visit the places in Charleston, S.C., where the action happened, in hopes that some of the schmoop may seep into your being (#dreams). Start by visiting Allies stunning summer home, aka Boone Hall Plantation, which is Americas most photographed plantation. It offers a variety of tours, and admission is only $20 for adults. After that, head over to the Cypress Gardens, the 170 acre nature preserve known for its flooded forest, where Noah and Allie took a rowboat ride and ended up surrounded by clouds of beautiful birds. And finally, visit the American Theater, the downtown theater where the two lovebirds first realized they were into each other. Movies are no longer shown there, but the theater retains its 1940s vibe, and its surrounded by lots of cool hotels, restaurants, and charming shops all within walking distance.
