86. Bridges Park Ireland
Bingleys Ireland Bridge is a Grade listed structure and a historically significant crossing point over the River Aire in West Yorkshire England. It is now the main route between Bingley & the nearby villages of Harden Wilsden & Cullingworth. The current bridge dates from 1686.The All Saints Parish Church and the Old White Horse Inn a Coaching inn were constructed very close to the eastern bank and Bingleys modern town centre spread south from these beginnings.Despite previous strengthening works the bridge was deemed unfit for two-way traffic and traffic lights were installed for a time at either end. These allowed only a single lane across for some time - disrupting local traffic at peak times.

Judge Ed Janecka was very instrumental in the restoration of this bridge but the broader landscape of locals are the ones that have and will take an interest in this crossing for generations to come. This little iron bridge has a lot to teach a nation of decision makers that most likely might be your neighbors or someone you know.Glad that Workin Bridges has a small part in this play and very grateful that the work that was begun with Nels Raynor at BACH Steel ended with Nels and his crew from BACH Steel doing the iron restoration. Bob Schwensen of Davis Construction Inc (DCI) out of Lansing Mi. and S&S Bridge Painting of Kerrville Texas Texas for their contracting skills. The Department of Transportation Jay-Cee Rivets Michigan Pneumatic Black Stallion Gloves Commissioner Tom Muras Leona Hoelscher Edwin Peters and last but not least the Koenig Family in particular that cowboy Bobby for the donations time and materials and good will on the job for allowing me access to be there and document this restoration.
