23. Top load machines
The price of top load machines vary from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 28,000 depending on the brand. Clothes are loaded from the top into a drum mounted vertically and rotates horizontally. It has an agitator and pulsator a propeller, for better wash quality. A major disadvantage with this type is that one cannot reuse water and hence, water usage exceeds that of semi automatic machines. Also, when the washing is in progress, one cannot add clothes without switching the machine off. The power consumption of these machines is 1500 watts per hour of usage.
24. Fully automatic
This is the most expensive with prices varying between Rs 20,000 and Rs. 73,000. Here, the cylinder is mounted horizontally and clothes are loaded through a door in front of the machine. All models have an in built heater. Also, the sound produced by these machines is low, as motors are directly attached to the drum, reducing the sound by 60 percent. One advantage with this type is that it uses less water and detergents, when compared to top load fully automatic washing machines. However, the power consumption is same as the top load variety. Here, one of the biggest challenges is maintaining the glass doors. Extra precaution also needs to be taken while shifting these machines from one place to another. IFB is one of the most popular brand in this category, followed by LG.

It is highly toxic and carcinogenic. Any garments dry cleaned from such chemicals should be left in an outdoor airy environment for some time so the fumes fully leave the garment Better yet, we recommend that our customers look into green dry cleaners or organic dry cleaning services that use safer and non toxic methods such as liquid CO2 or silicone based solvents
28. Measure the Liquid Fabric Softener
The quantity of fabric softener you use is proportional to the size of the washer load. For a large load, pour the liquid fabric softener into the lid of the bottle up to the top fill line marked on the lid. For a medium or small load, pour to the lower fill line on the lid.
29. Get the Fabric Softener into the Washing Machine
If you have a top loading washing machine, you can pour it directly into the rinse water as it begins to fill, or have it pumped into the washer from the rinse basin on top of the washer. With front loading washers, pour the fabric softener into the rinse container so it will go into the washer as the rinse cycle begins.
30. Dry Your Clothes and Remove Them
Put all the clothes that are dryer safe into the dryer. If you choose a dryer based fabric softener, add 1 dryer sheet for a medium load and 2 for a large load. Put them in on top of the dryer load so they can come in contact with all the wet clothes. Dryer sheets can be used two or three times.
The newest type of dryer based fabric softener is in the form of two spiked spheres called dryer balls. These lift the clothes and help air circulate, reducing static electricity and helping the clothes dry faster. In theory, they are supposed to help soften the clothes, too, but this process works better when the dryer is at a medium or low temperature setting than with high drying temperatures.
