13. Christmas stockings card
Cut a length of bakers twine and loop across front of card, wrapping the ends around side of card and fixing securely on the inside with tiny pieces of sticky tape. Cut three stockings from patterned paper, using the template below as a guide. Make three small loops from fine twine or thread. Wrap these around the bakers twine and glue the stockings on top.Print out a festive message and glue in place or write it freehand.
14. Linocut Christmas cards
1 Copy your design onto tracing paper using a soft pencil. Lay the paper onto an A6 linoblock with the design facing down and fix with masking tape. Rub with the back of a spoon to transfer the image. Remove the tracing paper and check that the image has transferred successfully.

2 Youll need two cutting tools a sharp V shape for fine lines and a blunt U shape for larger areas. Hold the tool with your index finger on top and carve into the lino surface, using smooth, flowing shallow cuts. Only remove areas you want to keep white.

3 Once you have finished cutting, squeeze a blob of printing ink onto a paper plate. Use a roller to spread out the colour, then evenly coat it. Roll over your linocut, ensuring all the areas are covered.

4 Place the lino ink side down on your folded paper or card and press down firmly, again rubbing with the back of a spoon, to transfer your design. Lift back carefully to reveal the image and leave overnight to dry.

15. Christmas cards with buttons
Use tiny buttons to create these simple yet effective cards. Arrange your design weve used an initial, a bauble and a star pattern. Glue the buttons in place, and finish with a ribbon loop or bow.
16. Patterned heart card
Enlarge template (below) to desired size.Trace onto Bondaweb and iron onto the reverse of fabric.Cut out and iron lightly on to a blank card to fix in place.Glue a small ribbon bow to the heart, and a twine loop and ribbon bow to the stocking.
17. Trio of robins Christmas card
Using a robin rubber stamp and a black ink pad, print the outline of three robins in black and leave for children to colour in.

Cut a heart shape from glitter card. Glue a heart shaped button to the glitter heart. Glue that on to a white card.

Needles are used to prick out star shapes, creating this pretty, delicate effect.Draw a large star shape onto the front of a plain white card using a soft pencil.Prick holes along these lines using thick and thin needles alternately.Glue a fabric star to the centre.Draw another star around this central star and, making holes at the star points, prick small holes along the lines.Rub out the pencil lines.
20. Mini Christmas trees card
Use a craft punch to cut out five small Christmas trees from white card. Arrange in a line on a red card and attach using mini glue dots.
