Makeover Tips For Eyes
The gray blue Breeze shade is the only one to consider avoiding, unless you intend to apply it sheer. Eyeshadow Perfect Pro by DHC features three shades for shaping and shading the eyes, along with a thin strip of powder eyeliner. Shine is the name of the game here, but for those who prefer shiny eyeshadows these have a sumptuous, almost creamy texture that is a pleasure to apply and blend. Color payoff (including for the dark eyelining shade) is sheer, but the formula builds well and the shine tends to stay in place. Each of the sets is well coordinated, though whats available is limited to say the least.Revlon makes a great eyeshadow where the texture is smooth, the colors are soft and well coordinated, and it blends well to a low glow cream finish. Whats not to like? You can blend Revlon shades together to get a gradation of color and be able to shape and shade the eye (which is the purpose of eyeshadow). However, in some cases, even if your blending is precise, the formula tends to cause the colors to migrate into one.If powder eyeshadows with obvious shine and sheer color payoff are what youre after, Revlons option is worth exploring. This eyeshadow has a beautifully silky texture that isnt the least bit "dusty" and it applies evenly. You can build more intensity, but keep in mind that doing so ups the shine ante, because with each layer you get more shine than pigment.
Do you ever have those sad days when you feel like nothing is coming together? Like, everything you do is pointless and meaningless? When you doubt your tiniest decisions and feel like you could have chosen better? When you just feel angry at God and blame him for not making things easier? We all have those days, being humans, its unavoidable. We name them as bad days and put up with them and keep going through with it, not because we have no choice, but because in our hearts of hearts, we know that the bad day is going to come to an end, bringing night and calm with it and hoping that the next day is a better one. But when you are having those bad days you can do things to make yourself feel a tiny bit better. Like wear a bright eyeliner and do something different with your looks. I believe, if you are an artist, you can use your face as a canvas and paint something beautiful.Something that can make you feel different.
Start with a plain clean eye, wipe away all traces of your kajal. Prep and prime(optional) it for whats coming.
Take your favorite blue eyeshadow/ liner, and line 1/4th of your lower lash line. Do not line you waterline, save it for later to use your black kajal. Here I am using Maybelline color tattoo in Tenacious teal(who came up with that name? its so glamorous), its a beautiful blue color and its paraben free.
Now take your favorite teal eyeshadow/liner and line your lower lash line, starting from the point where the blue liner stops till the inner corner of your eye. when you are done with this step, 3/4th of your lower lash line should be lined while the inner corner should be free of any color. Here I am using Maybelline Eye Studio Vivid and Smooth Liner in the color Ocean Blue.
Now take your favorite silver or champagne eyeshadow/liner and line the inner corners of your eye, starting from the point where your teal line ends dragging it all the way up to the inner corner of your upper lash line. This will draw light to your eye and make it look brighter. Here I am using the champagne color from Revlon photoready sculpting blush pallet.
Now Take your teal color and line your upper lash line from the point where the silver liner ends to 3/4th of your lash line. Then, finish up lining the upper lash line by using the blue color and lining it from the point where the teal ends to the outer corner of your eye. I am basically repeating what I did to my lower lash line in the reverse order.
Now take your favorite black pencil liner and line your lower water line starting from the outer corner and lining all the way till the inner corner. I believe any eye look is in complete without black. It just adds life to your eye.
Now use the black liner to line your upper waterline under the lashes. We Dont want to use black liner on the lash line because it will spoil the look. So I am only lining my waterline.
Finish up using your favorite black mascare. Here, I am using Maybelline falsies.
And voila, you will instantly feel brighter and a little more cheerful when you are done with this look. I personally do not like to use eye shadows on my lids because it makes me look a little too over done. I like to keep my makeup light and relateable. But, if you like shadows on your lids, then try it.
Prep the eyelid with a primer to ensure more vibrant and longer lasting color.
Apply a shimmery light pink eyeshadow onto the eyelid from the lashline all the way to past the crease.
Using a dense eyeshadow brush like my newest must have piccasso 239B, define the crease and lashline with a dark blue color.
Line the upper and lower lashlines with a black pencil.
Soften the line by smudging the dark blue shadow on top with a small brush.
Using MAC #226 Small Tapered Blending Brush, blend off harsh edges.
Add a dab of the pink shadow on the center of the eyelid with a damp brush for an extra pop of color.
Brush a frosty white shadow under the brow bone to highlight.
Curl your lashes and coat with black mascara. Apply fake lashes as desired.
Keep your eyebrows soft by filling them in with a brown brow powder that is lighter than your natural brow color.
Clean up any eyeshadow fallouts before applying foundation and concealer and you are done.
When wearing purple during the day, be subtle. Use brown eyeshadow as a base and then pump it up with purple. This is good for daytime, because it is a soft look that still uses color, says Shaw. Start off with a natural beige on the lids, followed by a soft brown in the crease. Then line your eyes with a purple eyeshadow or eyeliner for a pop of color. We like >Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour in Orchid.
For a night out purple, turn up the color volume with a smoky eye. Start off with a soft pink eyeshadow as the base color from lash line to crease, says Shaw. Highlight with a shimmery white eyeshadow under the browbone, then add a deep purple eyeshadow to the crease and outer corner. We like >LORAC Rhapsody Eye Shadow. Finish by lining eyes with a black pencil or dark purple eyeliner. No matter the intensity you choose, keep the rest of your makeup soft and in the same color family to avoid looking harsh or dated. Avoid bronzer and bright lipstick when using purple eyeshadows, she says. Stick with soft pink cheeks and nude or baby pink lips to complete that modern romantic look.
Now you have two choices: either apply the adhesive on to the full length of the base of the false lashes or, using a brush (Blink & Go has a micro brush especially for this purpose, available from nouveaulashes.co.uk), place dots of adhesive along your own natural lash line before pressing the false lash on to it.If this is all too much kerfuffle, Eylure does ready glued lashes which you can simply peel off and stick on.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the opposite eye. It is very important to wait 30 seconds for the adhesive to become tacky before applying the false lashes.
Using tweezers, hold the strip lash in the centre. Then place it in the centre of your natural lashes. Then, again using the tweezers, push the inner side of strip lash in place, followed by the outer side.
Using a 'pinching and push' technique with the tweezers to pinch together the strip lashes and your natural lashes, then 'push' them towards your eyelids. Do this all the way across the lashes and repeat for the other eye.
Eyeliner can be added if needed, or mascara, but this needs careful application to the natural lashes only. You may find you don't need any other eye make up at all.
Go to a pro.
Treat yourself to a professional brow grooming in the beginning of summer. How can you tell if she ?s good? If her brows look great, then yours will too.
Pluck at home every day.
Maintain your professionally shaped arches by scanning for regrowth daily. Its easiest to spot strays in natural light, so do it by a window. As soon as you see a new hair peek through your skin, pluck it using tweezers that have a pointy tip.
Overly shaded arches look too severe in summer. If your brows are naturally thick, keep them in shape with clear brow gel. Need more definition? Use a brow pencil and light feathery strokes to fill in bald spots only.
Wipe excess mascara off the brush head, then place it under the very base of your lashes so its gently touching your eyelid. Now wiggle the bristles back and forth a few times. The wiggle motion thoroughly coats and separates your lash roots, making them look as thick aspossible.
Slowly stroke the mascara from roots to ends. Let dry for a few seconds, then apply a second coat.
Step 3: TOP OFF.
Lightly swipe the very tips of your lashes a third time to maximize their length.
