Habitat

Pepper plant is native to India and it is found in the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Konkan and Assam. In South East Asia it is found in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Peppers are the fruits of the plant which are harvested, dried and sold in the market. These fruits are harvested during the months of December to April depending upon the climate surrounding the plant.
