4. 2011 Honda CBR 600RR
The Honda CBR600RR is a 599 cc (36.6 cu in) sport motorcycle that was introduced by Honda in 2003 as a race replica version of Honda CBR600F series. It won every Supersport World Championship title from 2002 to 2008.he CBR600RR was developed from and inspired by the Honda RC211V MotoGP bike. The similar physical appearance of the CBR600RR and RC211V was intentional. Underneath the bike were MotoGP technologies that were made available for the first time on a production motorcycle, such as the Unit Pro Link rear suspension and Dual Stage Fuel Injection (PGM DSFI). Both were taken directly from Honda MotoGP bike. The RR, or race replica, suffix was added to emphasize racing characteristics such as an advanced braced swingarm, center up exhaust system, and more aggressive riding position. The 2003 model carried over to 2004 technically unchanged, with only the addition of an oxygen sensor and new color schemes.
5. 2010 Ducati Hypermotard
The Ducati Hypermotard is a Supermoto Ducati motorcycle designed by Pierre Terblanche and was first seen at the November 2005 EICMA trade show in Milan. The Hypermotard was awarded Best of Show at EICMA and has since won other show awards. The Hypermotard has a 1,078 cc (65.8 cu in) dual spark (see 2010 MY revisions) Desmo or Desmodromic aired cooled two valve 90 degree V twin engine with fuel injection and weighs under 180 kg (396 lb). The Hypermotard is capable of speeds in the region of 125 mph (201 km/h), but many people choose this kind of bike for having fun at speeds of up 100 mph (160 km/h) and accept that there limited protection from wind blast at higher speeds compared to some motorcycles, due to the upright riding position and lack of fairings/ screen. The rigidly triangulated trellis frame wears 50 mm Marzocchi R.A.C. inverted forks, and has a Sachs/ hlins remote reservoir shock attached to a strong, single sided swing arm. The Marchesini racing wheels wear dual radially mounted Brembo four piston, two pad brake calipers matched with 305 mm discs up front, and a 245 mm disc with two piston caliper at the rear.
6. Honda CBR 600RR Movistar
Barely related to the long running all round Honda CBR600F the Honda CBR600RR is a track biased missile and an excellent one. On the road, the F version is a better bet for most with a more roomy riding position, stable handling and a less revvy engine but get the Honda CBR600RR on the track and its in its element.A 599cc in line four is the staple lay out for a sports 600, with good reason it works brilliantly. The Honda CBR600RR needs revving to extract all its 115 claimed bhp and with the red line at 15,000 rpm youll feel like a MotoGP rider as you do it. Like so many fuel injected Hondas, the Honda CBR600RR doesnt manage many MPG.
7. 2011 Suzuki GSX R600
Suzuki has slashed an incredible 9kg from the 2011 GSX R600. The engine has more midrange, a close ratio gearbox and for the first time, Showa Big Piston Forks and Brembo monobloc radial front brakes. Aside from a handful of components, the GSX R600 is completely new. The easy going nature of the bike is still there, but its sharper, more agile and theres more punch out of the corners. If only it looked a bit special and not look just like any other GSX R to be made over the past decade. The inline four cylinder motor has the same basic architecture as before, with the same 599cc and 67 x 42.5mm bore and stroke. It makes around the same power, but with more midrange torque. It has new cams, pistons and pentagonal ventilation holes in the block. Compression is up and each piston assembly is 78 grams lighter. A new lighter, close ratio gearbox has a taller first gear and shorter ratios for second, third, fourth and sixth. The final drive is changed from a 17/45 to a 16/43. A new four into one exhaust has stainless steel down pipes, a butterfly valve to improve low and midrange power and a titanium end can. The whole system is l.7kg lighter.
8. Honda CBR 1000RR 2012
The CBR1000RR, known in some countries as the Fireblade, is a 999 cc (61.0 cu in) liquid cooled inline four cylinder sport bike that was introduced by Honda in 2004 as the seventh generation of the series of motorcycles that began with the CBR900RR in 1992.The Honda CBR1000RR was developed by the same team that was behind the MotoGP series. Many of the new technologies introduced in the Honda CBR600RR, a direct descendant of the RC211V, were used in the new CBR1000RR such as a lengthy swingarm, Unit Pro Link rear suspension, and Dual Stage Fuel Injection System (DSFI).
